Set up email in Thunderbird

Introduction

Thunderbird is a free email client that works well with domain mailboxes. You can configure it with IMAP to keep your messages synchronized with webmail and other devices.

How to add the account

  1. Open Thunderbird.
  2. Go to Account Settings if needed.
  3. Click Account Actions.
  4. Choose Add Mail Account.
  5. Enter your name, full email address and password.
  6. Click Continue.
  7. If the detected settings are wrong, choose Manual config.
  8. Select IMAP.
  9. Enter mail.yourdomain.com for both incoming and outgoing server.
  10. Save and test the account.
