Does FileRun work on shared hosting?
It can, if the hosting allows PHP 8.3/8.4, the ionCube Loader extension, a MySQL/MariaDB database and cron tasks. For several users or a lot of storage, a VPS offers more control.
Does FileRun store files inside the database?
No. The database is used for configuration and users; files are stored in regular folders on the server.
Do I need SSL to use FileRun?
Yes. Mobile or desktop sync access also requires HTTPS with a valid SSL certificate.
